Quote of the Day–Leap Day in Toronto

I do not intend to post a special quote every day.  However, there are days when the words of others sustain me, and today is one.  On days such as today, I will vent my feelings through someone else’s memorable words.

The term “non-winter” has been popular in the northeast recently, especially among gardeners.  However, weather in the Toronto area is unpredictable at this time of year, even in this non-winter.  So, a description of the winter landscape having “a beauty that no summer landscape can show” –the words of English Garden revolutionary Gertrude Jekyll  –reminded me to look for the beauty today’s FREEZING RAIN (!!) and gusts of sideways-blowing snow.

I am looking for the beauty.  I really am.
